Kingbo produces pesticide, insecticide, fertilizer and herbicide products from herbal plant extracts. The company’s herbal plants are extracted from its own plantations in the Mongolian desert that are sustainably managed to counter desertification.

China’s pesticide landscape:

One of China’s 400 golf courses that also contributes to the urban greenery.
  • In 2006, the global pesticides market was about $36 billion with bio-pesticides comprising 10% of that market. The industry continues to grow at a fast rate.

  • China is the single largest consumer and producer of pesticides.

  • Pesticide products are heavily used by landscaping businesses and golf courses in big cities. Currently, there are about 400 golf courses in China and 40% of urban areas are landscaped.

Kingbo: Making a difference

  • Kingbo sells its patented bio-pesticide through both direct sales and global distributors, competing in Chinese and international markets.

  • Kingbo collaborates with leading research institutions, such as China Agriculture Science Institution, equipping the company with superior R&D capabilities and facilitating the required registration process for pesticide products. Its products are certified by China Organic Food Development and Certification Center, and approved by the Institute of Marketecology (IMO).

We are keeping the balance of nature by developing good products. Maintaining harmony with nature is our responsibility too.

Dr. Quian Yixin, Chairman Beijing Kingbo Biotech

Environmental and social impacts:

  • 320 kg of chemical pesticides per hectare are reduced by using Kingo products.

  • Moreover, the company grows the medicinal plants and herbs used in its bio products at the edge of the Inner Mongolian desert using a concept called “ecological construction,” an oasis of trees and plants in the desert to stop the encroachment of desertification. So far, the company has treated over 3,750 hectares of desert and planted more than 40,000 trees, reducing wind erosion in the area.

  • Kingbo’s bio-pesticides allow farmers to become organic crop producers, which sell as much as 300 percent higher than traditional crops. Additionally, the company provides technical assistance to farmers on how to use such products.
