New Ventures Colombia
New Ventures Colombia, the newest node in our Global Network, is housed at the School of Management of Universidad de los Andes, in Bogotá, Colombia. The program benefits from the resources and connections of UniAndes, one of the most prestigious academic institutions in the region. Since its inception in 2008, New Ventures Colombia has supported 22 small and medium sized companies that are now part of the New Ventures Portfolio. New Ventures fills a unique niche in Colombia's growing entrepreneurship support landscape. With an abundance of natural resources, Colombia has great potential to develop an innovative asset class that generates economic growth while protecting and harnessing the environment.
Services and Events
In 2009, New Ventures Colombia received support of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, to start the country’s first Sustainable Enterprise Acceleration Program. Fundación Bavaria is an important partner for the program, where selected enterprises join a six-month long training aimed at improving their capacity to attract investment capital.
The yearly Investor Forum and Business Roundtable brings together the relevant players in the national and regional entrepreneurship support landscape, and facilitates the contact between entrepreneurs and investors.
