Our global team is housed at the World Resources Institute (WRI), in Washington DC.

WRI is an environmental think tank that goes beyond research to find practical ways to protect the earth and improve people’s lives.

New Ventures is part of WRI’s Markets and Enterprise Program, which harnesses the power of markets and enterprise to expand economic opportunity and protect the environment.

Services and Events

At the Global level we support the work of the six Local Centers, and foster a Global Network of knowledge sharing and collaboration. We also take part in the growing global industry that supports entrepreneurship and small and growing businesses (SGBs) as vehicles to tackle the challenges of poverty and environmental degradation.

New Ventures is a founding and active member of the Aspen Network of Development Entrepreneurs, and a close ally to the Global Impact Investing Network. Through industry events and seminars we work to turn WRI’s ideas into action that improve the environmental performance of small businesses in the developing world.
